There were many long weeks preparing for the Vivid at The Museum. we lit up our basin with colour and music for all who passed by, or chose to stay and enjoy the food and beverages at Yots Café for the Vivid Sydney nights.
Friday Night saw DJ Bennett kick off with some awesome beats, followed by DJ I-AM-SAM. DJ Bennett will be joining us again this Sunday the 1st of June. With a backdrop like no other the Maritime Museum Basin definitely put on a great show.
Saturday Night proved infectious with the talented Joe Mungovan kicking things off, then backed up by Tommy M and the Mastersounds, getting people up on their feet to dance the evening away. Tommy M and the Mastersounds will be gracing the stage again on the 8th of June.
Sunday proved to be just as musical with beautiful voice of Imogen Clark. Her Solo set was met with an impromptu dance rutine by rising ballet girls, choreographed on the spot. After a short break she was accompanied by Manishaband from Melbourne, then later by her extremely talented band members.
What a great first weekend, we saw the Rosman Ferry docking on our Basin offering people an alternative ferry ride across the Habour, 5 awesome Music acts that gave people the chance to see some free entertainment and of course at the end of an weekend filled with activity our Basin here at the museum put on its own show, allowing me to reflect on what was/is the beginning of great weekends to come.
